Who says you can’t conquer Rome during an 8 hour layover? This was my first time to travel overseas and I had a lonnng direct flight from DFW to Rome, then Rome to Jordan then Jordan to Tel Aviv. It was a long day and then my baggage got lost, but that’s a whole other story.
So I had exactly 8 hours in Rome from my arrival to my departure. I had to get back to the airport by 1 p.m. for a 3:30 p.m. flight. I really didn’t know what to do and how to get around. My co-worker had a driver that he recommended and he took me around the city and took pictures of me. He was SO nice and knew where to take me and I got to see all of these places in 4 hours! I even had time for pizza and gelato! There was definitely a language barrier, but we got around it with Google Translate. It was $225 for the transportation and I HIGHLY recommend doing this if you have the time! You can email the company here and the website is http://www.nccitalydriver.com
