So if you don’t listen to Jon Gordon’s Positive U, then you should! I got this from an episode I took notes on, but I can’t remember which one it was. However, he has tons of great episodes you should check out!
Focus on Gratitude
When it comes to managing stress and cultivating a positive mindset, incorporating gratitude walks into your routine can be incredibly beneficial. Taking the time to immerse yourself in nature and reflect on the things you are grateful for can help shift your focus towards uplifting thoughts and away from the draining effects of stress.
The act of expressing gratitude has a powerful impact on our well-being. By consciously and intentionally acknowledging the things we appreciate, we elevate our mood and create a ripple effect of positivity that extends not only to ourselves but also to the people around us. It becomes a choice to focus on the good aspects of our lives, no matter how small they may seem.
In addition to gratitude walks, prayer, and meditation can also play a significant role in overcoming fear, stress, and anxiety. By turning our worries into prayers, we are surrendering our anxieties to God, finding solace in His sovereignty. God cares for us but we have to let Him care for us.
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
1 Peter 5:6-7
Similarly, through meditation, we can cultivate a sense of calmness and clarity, allowing us to transcend the stressful thoughts that often consume us.
Both prayer and meditation provide a space for reflection, self-discovery, and finding inner peace. They allow us to tap into our inner strength and resilience, helping us navigate through challenging times with a greater sense of calm and serenity.
So, if you find yourself caught in the grip of stress, remember that practicing gratitude, prayer, and meditation can be powerful tools to shift your mindset and elevate your overall well-being. Embrace these practices, and watch as your perspective transforms, bringing you a greater sense of peace, contentment, and gratitude in your daily life.

Focus on Vision and Purpose
We all need something to long for and hope for and people are most energized when people are using their strengths for a bigger purpose beyond themselves creating a difference in the lives of others.
The Mother Teresa Effect – All of the volunteers in this study had their health improve as a result of making a difference in the lives of others. We don’t get burnt out from what we do, we get burned out because we forget why we do it. This is essential to overcoming fear, stress, and anxiety. Don’t put pressure on yourself if you don’t have a vision yet but trust that it is coming and that there is a plan for your life. You are here for a reason and you are here to impact others. Be expectant with excitement.
Win Today
The Navy SEALs in training don’t make it because they are too focused on the future. The ones who do make it say to themselves, “I just want to make it through breakfast.” Control what you can control and let go of what you can’t.
Identifying what winning means to you is an important aspect of personal growth and self-reflection. It allows you to acknowledge your achievements and celebrate the positive moments in your day. It’s okay to have days when you don’t feel your best, but it’s essential not to dwell on negativity and strive to move forward.
Focusing on one thing that went right in your day can have a profound impact on your overall outlook. By consciously directing your attention to the positive aspects of your day, you shift your perspective and train your mind to seek out the good. It could be something as simple as completing a task, receiving a compliment, or making progress on a personal goal. When you actively look for the good, you’ll start to notice more positive moments and experiences. It’s like the theory goes, if you are in the market for a new car and you begin to have some favorites in mind, you will begin to see them everywhere.
Remember, success is not always defined by external achievements or grand accomplishments. Sometimes, winning today can be as simple as finding joy in small moments, or demonstrating resilience in the face of challenges. By focusing on the good and celebrating even the smallest victories, you create a positive mindset that can empower you to overcome obstacles and embrace a more fulfilling life. Keep striving, keep growing, and keep seeking the good in every day.
